Privacy
This page says what we collect, what we do with it, and - more importantly - what we never do with it. It goes with our terms of service, which carry the five promises this page implements. Questions: hello@seekwense.com.
The short version. We collect your email and the teaching material you choose to put in. It is used to run Seekwense for you and for nothing else. We never train AI models on your work without your explicit opt-in, never sell your data, never run ads or advertising trackers. You can export everything and delete everything, anytime, from inside the product.
What we collect
- Your account: your email address (it's your sign-in - there are no passwords) and the profile you fill in: styles you teach and practice, how you plan, your teaching schedule, and an optional teaching-life note.
- Your notebook: the material you add - typed or pasted sequences, journal photos, class transcripts - plus the plans, class cards, and debriefs (typed or recorded) you create with it, and study-shelf reference items you keep separate.
- Operational records: the minimum bookkeeping needed to run the service, such as your monthly transcription-minutes counter and item status. We do not run analytics or tracking scripts, and the only cookies are the ones that keep you signed in.
What it's used for
One thing: running Seekwense for you. Your material is stored privately under your account, transcribed and read (photos) so it becomes usable text, indexed so your own plans can retrieve it, and drawn on to generate plans for you in your voice. Study-shelf items are never used to generate plans - that separation is enforced in our database permissions. Voice requests and spoken ideas are transcribed in memory and the audio is never stored; debrief recordings are stored privately under your account until you delete them.
What we never do
- Train AI models on your work without your explicit, separately-asked opt-in - and the AI providers we use are configured the same way.
- Sell your data, share it with advertisers, or run advertising trackers.
- Show your material to any other user. Sharing a class card by link is the one exception, and it's entirely in your hands: the link you create shows that one card, nothing else and not your name, and dies when you stop sharing.
- Build profiles of your students. Seekwense is designed to know the teacher deeply and individuals barely at all: transcript cleaning removes student names before class transcripts join your notebook, and nothing in the product asks about identifiable students.
The services we build on
A small set of trusted providers process your content only as needed to run Seekwense - for hosting, database and file storage, sign-in email delivery, voice transcription, and AI plan generation - under agreements or settings that do not permit training on your content. Want the current list? Ask us at hello@seekwense.com and we'll tell you plainly.
Export and deletion
"Export my notebook" on your profile builds a complete archive - your material, plans, debriefs and recordings, in markdown, JSON, and your original files - at no charge. Every item has a Remove that deletes it and its stored original. To close your account entirely, email hello@seekwense.com from your account address - we'll confirm it's you, offer an export first, and remove everything within 7 days. Backups are not selectively editable, so deleted content leaves them as they expire, within 30 days. We keep only what law requires, if anything.
Security, honestly
Your content lives in a managed cloud database and private file storage, scoped to your account by row-level security, reachable only over encrypted connections. No one can promise perfect security; we can promise a small surface, careful defaults, and telling you plainly and promptly if something ever goes wrong that affects you.
Children
Seekwense is for adults - you must be 18 or older to have an account, and the product is built to hold no information about your students, whatever their age.
Changes
If this page materially changes, we'll email you before the change takes effect, in plain language, with what changed and why.
